OVERVIEW

Located in the Bronx, Hunts Point is the largest food distribution center of its kind in the world. JDP has performed major HVAC projects at Hunts Point Co-op for over 25 years.

Hunts Point is a 60-acre facility with seven buildings and over 1,000,000 sq. ft. of refrigerated space and is responsible for the processing and distribution of meat in the Tri-State area.

JDP has performed major projects at the market for more than 25 years – including:

• Underground high-temperature hot water mains

• Underground low-temperature chilled water mains

• Removal and replacement of two 20-million BTU high-temperature hot water boilers

• Installation of a new 2,100-ton ammonia refrigeration plant from the ground up

Hunts Point looks to JDP for their major work as there can be no disruption to either the HTHW or refrigeration distribution.
