OVERVIEW

CCNY consists of classrooms for the Advanced Science and Research Center where scientists from around the world come to perform experiments and studies.

JDP Mechanical was contracted to extend chilled and high-temperature water from the central power plant into the basement MER for new construction involving two buildings.  

We passed the reheated water through our heat exchangers, allowing secondary water to be distributed throughout the new buildings.

As backup, and to ensure chilled water to the laboratories, a secondary Multistack chiller and cooling tower were installed.

JDP's piping provides chilled water, hot water, and steam piping to all of the facilities classrooms.

Also included in the project were a high pressure steam boiler, fuel oil tank, and pumping station.
