OVERVIEW
The Gilder Center is the latest structure to be included in the American Museum of Natural History’s expansive property. Neighboring Central Park, this five-story structure will house an array of galleries such as an insectarium, vivarium and a state-of-the-art educational zone for children. Its unique exterior design will add to the growth of the Upper West Sides collection of architecture. The Mechanical Scope includes connecting to existing machine rooms in the adjoining Museum as well as providing new risers and rooftop units for the research center. As the space will be utilized with live animals, JDP has the opportunity to provide precise temperature control to specific areas during all seasons. We are looking forward to being a part of providing a space for the youth of New York City.
